Electric Forklift Charger Installation Meadowbrook Warehouse

Precision Electrical & Air was engaged by Armstrong Ceilings at their Meadowbrook warehouse to carry out a commercial electrical fitout covering three scopes of work.

Warehouse Entry Bell

The entry bell installation gave truck drivers a reliable way to alert staff when arriving at the staff door, this removed the need for drivers to search for another entry point or wait unattended

Pendant Power Points

Two pallet wrapper machines were located away from the warehouse walls. Pendant power points were installed overhead to supply each machine without floor-level cabling or the need to relocate equipment.

Three-Phase Outlets for Electric Forklift Chargers

The client was transitioning to all-electric forklifts and required three-phase power outlets for the new battery chargers. A custom overhead support beam was manufactured and installed to carry cable tray from the switchboard to each charger position. This provided a protected cable run suited to a working warehouse environment. Three-phase outlets were then installed at each location.

Outcome

All work was completed to the client’s requirements. The forklift charging infrastructure was built to handle the demands of an active warehouse, with structural support and cable protection factored in from the outset.
